FROM THE AIR
When taking a cab/shuttle from the airport, the trip will take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic. If you like to plan ahead, we recommend booking a shuttle with us. The shuttle costs 550 Kc for groups of 1-4 ppl, so make sure to corral the troops and book ahead. To make a reservation, you can email our driver directly at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). For requests on the same day please call the driver directly at +420 774 413 347. If you’d prefer to grab a cab, we suggest taking AAA Radiotaxi, with “AAA” written on the side. The journey to Miss Sophie’s from the airport costs around 650 CZK, and is counted by meter so it’s best not to bargain with the driver. As a precaution, it’s best to ask the driver, prior to leaving the airport, to charge by meter and give you a receipt. You should give the driver Miss Sophie’s address: Melounova 3, Praha 2.
If you’re the adventurous type and prefer to tackle Prague’s amazing (and easy!) public transport, then you’ll take bus 119 from the airport terminal to Dejvicka metro station. From Dejvicka, take the green metro line to Muzeum metro station. At Muzeum, change to the red metro line and go one stop to I. P. Pavlova. When you get off the escalators at I. P. Pavlova, take the first left exit to the street. Go straight down the street, cross one intersection and continue straight passing by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ibis Hotel on your left. Spot Banditos restaurant on the right corner and turn right onto a small street called Melounova. Halfway down the street on the left, you will see our sign over the door.
The entire journey by public transport should take around 50 minutes. If traveling by public transport you will need to buy a 26 CZK ticket per person and a 13 CZK ticket if you have large bags (70cm x 40cm x 25cm).
FROM THE GROUND
We do not recommend taking a cab from train or bus stations, as this is where dishonest drivers tend to wait for unsuspecting tourists.
Prague’s public transport system is easy to navigate, so it’s best to use the metro to get to Miss Sophie’s. Depending on where you are traveling from, you will need an 18 CZK (i.e. Hlavní Nádraži) or 26 CZK (i.e. Nádraži Holešvice) ticket per person. Again, if you are traveling with large bags, you should also have a 13 CZK ticket per piece of such “oversized” luggage.
Also, as in many large cities, it is not advisable to exchange currency at the train stations – it’s best to use an ATM or bank. For more tourist information and tips, including information about public transportation, view our Location and Directions page.
